MEMBERSHIP

The Grenville Credit Union Membership provides an opportunity for all Grenadians to have ownership in a financial institution operated and control by them. We offer affordable loans and credit financing to our members while providing the means for them to save, invest and grow their hard-earned money and build wealth for the long term.

Becoming a member of the Grenville Co-operative Credit Union is as easy as 123, if you are living in Grenada Carriacou or Petite Martinique you just have to provide the following:

Two Pieces of valid picture ID

National ID, NIS Card, Passport, Voters ID card or Driver’s Permit (Licenses)

Proof of address (Utility Bill)

Water, Telephone, Cable or Electricity

Basic Financial requirement

Three Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars ($335.00) breakdown as follows:

Membership Registration Fee – $ 10.00

The purchase of 60 shares at a cost of $5.00 per Share totaling $300.00

Savings (Minimum Balance) – $ 25.00

Joint Membership

At the Grenville Co-operative Credit Union, any two members over the age of 18 years old can open a Joint Account. Both persons are required to present valid forms of Identification in keeping with what’s stipulated above. Each party to the Joint Account has the same rights. The account is established by completing a Joint Account Application Form and the signing of the relevant Joint Account Agreement.

Even if you are not resident in Grenada this does not restrict you from becoming a member of the Grenville Co-operative Credit Union. Membership is open to Grenadians living in the Diaspora and anywhere around the world, you just have to provide the following:

Two copies of the relevant ID’s:

National ID, SIN Card, Passport or Driver’s Permit (Licenses)

In the event of a joint account both persons are required to present valid forms of Identification in keeping with what’s stipulated above.

Proof of address – if your address is not present on both copies of ID’s you must forward one of the following:

Water, Telephone, Electricity, Driver’s License

Important Note

All of your documentation must be authenticated by an official such as a Notary Public as long as you are overseas while conducting business and must be Mail, Send or Fax along with the Notarized Copy of ID’S to Grenville Cooperative Credit Union Jubilee Street Grenville St Andrew Grenada, Fax  473-438-0326.

Members can also assign Power of Attorney to an individual of their choice to operate the account if they so desire.

Stay on top of your organization’s finances with an organization account from the Grenville Co-operative Credit Union. Grenville Credit Union’s Organization Account comes with the same great benefits as our Regular Savings account. We’ll need the following information for every person who will be a signatory on the account before we can activate your organization’s account.

Organization Accounts Requirements:

Two Pieces I.D. of all the signatories. Passport or national I.D. or driver’s license or N.I.S. card.

Application form – completed and signed by the signatories

Authorization Letter from Group or Organization

The purpose of the account e.g. transactions (savings) or investments (fixed deposits) or both.
